Education and Experience
Naomi graduated with honors from North Carolina Central University School of Law. After receiving her law degree, she worked as an associate attorney at Oxendine, Barnes, and Associates in Raleigh where she practiced personal injury and estate law. She then moved on to Maurer Law, also in Raleigh, where she practiced plaintiff’s personal injury law for seven years and gained valuable experience litigating cases all across North Carolina.
While serving personal injury clients in North Carolina, Naomi continues to volunteer her time with the NC Justice Center, an organization dedicated to protecting the rights of immigrants and refugees. As an immigrant herself, Naomi finds this work very rewarding – when she was only 18 she moved from a small rural town in Victoria, Australia to the U.S. to attend university, and quickly had to learn how to adapt to a new culture and country.
Naomi now lives in Chapel Hill where she enjoys life with her family and her two miniature Australian Shepherds, Gus and Rosie. On the weekends she likes to go hiking, play tennis, bike, and play video games.
